Trevow is a community novel of some 77,000 words, written by the Joined Up Writers group with the participation of approximately 150 people from the Parish area of Mylor, near Falmouth in south Cornwall.
The story:
Anneke Lander is alone and rootless when she arrives in Trevow. As live-in helper to Margaret Clemens, custodian of Tregethlan Manor, she quickly discovers a world of fraught family relationships and once great Cornish estate in decline. When a rift between Margaret and her fiery daughter Jo threatens the estate’s future, Anneke’s loyalties are torn. Will Margaret’s ambitious plans to save it succeed, or will Jo’s passion to protect the community win? With Trevow divided, Anneke clings to her dream of finally having a home and a family of her own.
